**This is an onsite role in Farmers Branch, TX Monday - Friday from 7am - 4pm**

Hi-Line is a nationwide distributor of over 100,000+ industrial aftermarket products across industries like transportation, aviation, facilities maintenance, aerospace, medical, military, marine, power generation, manufacturing, and heavy equipment.

This person should be a highly skilled professional who is able to lead a team and be in the details. We’re looking for a leader who can work effectively with various levels of the organization to get things done, loves learning, and can partner with our Suppliers to gain optimal quality, cost, and availability of products for our customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Minimize back orders by using data to make proactive decisions.
  • Execution-oriented and creative leader who solves problems.
  • Partner with Product Manager to build and execute the full life cycle from adding new products to sunsetting discontinued products.
  • Responsible for researching and evaluating suppliers based on quality, price, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, and supplier’s reputation.
  • Awareness to respond to changing conditions in product supply as well as commodity and market trends affecting pricing and availability.  
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Communicate with suppliers effectively in various ways including vendor scorecards.
  • Ability to understand process and analysis by 3rd party to reset forecast parameters such as lead time and min/max levels.
  • Daily/weekly tasks such as inventory purchases, part # set up/maintenance, discrepancy review, KPI reporting, etc.
  • Build and maintain a list of multiple vendors for all SKUs.
  • Identify and present opportunities for strategic purchases.
  • Lead buying team and own results.
Requirements:
  • Minimum five years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Procurement Certifications preferred
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Experience in Distribution preferred
  • Proficiency in ERP and inventory management software programs
  • Experience in industrial MRO products
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy and great organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Effective communication, persuasion, strategizing and negotiation skills
