The Director of Pricing, Promotions, and Competitive Intelligence is responsible for driving Best Buy's business results by managing the effectiveness, execution and capability development for Best Buy's competitive pricing, promotions, open box and clearance areas. The director leads the team responsible for working with merchants to create a pricing strategy that drives price perception and results for optimal performance across sales, margin and market share. The director leads the planning and development of strategic projects, tools, and processes that drive value for the organization and helps plan & measure effectiveness across all channels and businesses. This person has the credibility and ability to influence and drive sustainable change throughout the organization and manage tradeoffs between multiple business partners.
In addition to supporting the Category Management function, this role develops pricing strategy and provides pricing support for emerging business priorities, including Membership and Marketplace. The team plays a critical partner role with Marketing to develop and deliver the enterprise promotional plan, from planning to execution to recapping in an effort to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of promotional vehicles.
