As a full-time Vertical Market Manager, Healthcare in the Marketing Department at Aalberts, based in Charlotte, NC, you will play a critical role responsible for driving Aalberts integrated piping systems Americas' growth in the healthcare market, one of our highest-priority verticals. This role combines healthcare market insight, customer engagement, strategic execution, and technical understanding to strengthen our presence with healthcare owners, facility leaders, health systems, specifying engineers, architects, mechanical contractors, distributors, and construction partners across the healthcare ecosystem. Reporting to the Strategic Marketing Director, you will lead the development of targeted strategies, selling tools, technical content, and relationship building efforts that help Aalberts IPSA improve awareness, positioning, specification
influence, and win rates in healthcare construction, renovation, expansion, and facility infrastructure projects. This role works across sales, marketing, strategy, and product teams to shape Aalberts' solutions, messaging, innovation, and go-to-market approach for healthcare environments where reliability, safety, compliance, uptime, and patient care continuity are paramount.

your challenge
- Lead the go-to-market strategy for Aalberts IPS' high-growth healthcare vertical, building on a strong foundation to accelerate market expansion and share.
- Develop and refine the Aalberts value proposition for hospitals, health systems, ambulatory care facilities, specialty care facilities, behavioral health facilities, long-term care facilities, and outpatient healthcare environments.
- Prioritize strategic accounts, regions, health systems, engineering firms, contractors, and channel partners based on opportunity size and market potential.
- Identify trends, regulations, technologies, reimbursement drivers, construction activity, and competitive influences shaping the healthcare facilities market.
- Build relationships with healthcare facility leaders, directors of facilities, plant operations leaders, construction managers, specifying engineers, architects, mechanical contractors, distributors, and healthcare executives across the healthcare ecosystem.
- Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) sessions to uncover customer needs, operational challenges, facility priorities, project drivers, and innovation opportunities.
- Represent Aalberts at healthcare industry events, trade shows, conferences, customer visits, association meetings, and technical discussions.
- Support early-stage project conversations with an understanding of healthcare mechanical systems, domestic water systems, HVAC infrastructure, renovation constraints, infection prevention considerations, resiliency requirements, and facility uptime expectations.
- Equip Sales and rep agencies with healthcare-specific tools, presentations, positioning strategies, stakeholder maps, account development resources, and objection-handling guidance.
- Provide project-level insight and expertise to improve win rates, specification influence, and customer confidence.
- Train internal teams on healthcare personas, terminology, market structure, purchasing dynamics, stakeholder priorities, and facility design and operational considerations.
- Participate in customer-facing opportunities as the healthcare market subject matter expert.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Marketing Director to maintain the Healthcare Vertical Playbook, including personas, messaging, segmentation, competitive intelligence, and asset development roadmaps.
- Contribute to case studies, white papers, industry articles, design guides, landing pages, customer success stories, and healthcare-focused content.
- Ensure alignment between messaging, campaigns, technical solutions, and customer needs.
- Support development of competitive battlecards and market comparison tools specific to healthcare construction and facility infrastructure projects.
- Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to ensure Aalberts products including press systems, balancing valves, grooved systems, butterfly valves, and related piping solutions are aligned with healthcare market requirements.
- Identify product gaps, market opportunities, emerging needs, and future development initiatives related to healthcare infrastructure and building systems.
- Support pilot projects and market validation activities for new solutions.
- Provide insight to help shape the long-term healthcare market product roadmap.
- Partner with the Strategic Marketing Director and Salesforce stakeholders to improve visibility into healthcare opportunities, market trends, customer activity, and project pipelines.
- Track KPIs such as pipeline growth, specification success, project wins, customer engagement, account development, and healthcare market penetration.
- Deliver regular reporting and insights to Sales, Product, Marketing, and Executive leadership.
- Complete any additional duties as assigned by the manager.
requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Strong experience in the healthcare market, including healthcare facilities, healthcare construction, health systems, healthcare infrastructure, medical equipment, building products, healthcare manufacturing, or healthcare-focused commercial roles may be considered in lieu of formal educational requirements.
- 5–7 years of experience in healthcare facilities, healthcare construction, healthcare operations, industrial manufacturing, building systems, commercial construction, or vertical market development.
- Demonstrated understanding of how healthcare facilities are planned, designed, constructed, renovated, operated, and maintained.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare stakeholder groups and decision-making dynamics, including owners, facility leaders, health system executives, consulting engineers, architects, contractors, and distributors.
- Understanding of healthcare building systems, HVAC, domestic water systems, piping systems, facility operations, or related technical disciplines, or the ability to ramp up quickly.
- Experience working with engineers, contractors, facility leaders, healthcare operators, or other technical decision-makers.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and customer-facing skills.
- Salesforce or CRM experience preferred.
- Ability to capture market insights and translate them into compelling messaging, content, sales tools, and strategic initiatives.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to customer locations, healthcare facilities, industry events, and Aalberts sites.
