The Strategic Marketing Manager plays a critical role in shaping Altium's growth strategy by helping the organization determine where to play and how to win. This position partners with commercial and business leaders to transform market intelligence into actionable plans, growth opportunities and business priorities.

Working across Sales, Business Development, Design and Marketing Communication, the Strategic Marketing Manager identifies market opportunities, assesses competitive dynamics, develops winning value propositions and drives strategic initiatives that support profitable growth. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, cross-functional leadership and a proven ability to translate insights into measurable business results.

Essential Functions - Roles/Responsibilities

• Gather and maintain market intelligence for existing markets, including but not limited to market size, growth rates and growth drivers, market trends, customer and competitive intelligence to inform business decisions
• Refresh assessment for existing markets to prioritize commercial initiatives
• Conduct assessment for new or adjacent markets, recommend entry strategy and action plan, work across function to lead the implementation of the plan with measurable KPIs
• Lead or assist the implementation of key commercial initiatives and projects
• Establish value propositions, product positioning and messaging that differentiate Altium's from competition
• Collaborate with and drive cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and prioritization
• Develop external network relationships that accelerate insights, development and launch efforts
• Develop business case for innovation projects as needed
• Provide content to marketing communication to support AEO
• Cultivate cross-functional relationships to drive greater impact and reach of key initiatives
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years experience in corporate strategy, strategic marketing or product portfolio management positions in B2B manufacturing industry in corporate environment
• Track record of turning market analysis into growth strategies and that delivered measurable results
• Strong skills in market sizing, segmentation, forecasting, competitive analysis and customer research
• Problem solver with strong analytical skills
• Ability to navigate the organization
• Comfortable with ambiguity
• Clear and convincing communication
• Collaborative leadership style
