$210,000 - $250,000 base + bonus

Overview

We are partnering with a high-growth consumer lending / BNPL platform to hire a Director of Strategic Finance. This role will sit close to the CFO and executive team, driving financial strategy, capital planning, and business performance across a rapidly scaling platform. The position will play a critical role in shaping decision-making through deep analytics, forecasting, and strategic initiatives tied to growth, profitability, and funding.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide financial planning, including annual budget, long-range plan, and rolling forecasts
• Build and maintain detailed financial models focused on unit economics, loan performance, and portfolio growth
• Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives, new products, and market expansion
• Develop and track KPIs across credit performance, customer acquisition, portfolio yield, and profitability
• Support capital strategy, including warehouse facilities, debt financing, and investor reporting
• Analyze consumer cohorts, repayment trends, and credit performance to inform underwriting and pricing strategy
• Drive scenario analysis and stress testing to support board-level decision making
• Partner cross-functionally with Credit, Product, Risk, and Operations teams
• Prepare materials for board, lenders, and investors

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking
• Prior experience within consumer lending, BNPL, fintech, or specialty finance strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of credit products, loan performance, and financing structures
• Advanced financial modeling skills with experience building operating and scenario models
• Proven ability to operate in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership
