The Charlotte 49ers are seeking a highly-motivated, organized individual to serve an internship in the area of Strategic Communications for the 2026-27 academic year. The individual chosen will serve as the communications contact for select sports programs as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director - Strategic Communications and be responsible for all that entails, including publications, press releases, statistical updates, game coverage and maintenance of the athletic department website. The selected individual should possess strong writing and interpersonal skills, working knowledge of college athletic departments or professional sports franchises, an advanced understanding of and and an aptitude in the social media space, and willingness to learn desktop publishing and live stats software. Additional experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, photography, videography, and graphic design are a plus

This position does require weekend and evening hours.
