Strategic Business Operations Advisor
About the Position
WEI is creating a Strategic Business Operations function to provide sustained ownership and support for important responsibilities that cross departments or require specialized analysis, coordination, and follow-through.
The Strategic Business Operations Advisor will work at the intersection of business and financial analysis, contract review, compliance, recurring customer and partner reporting, performance measurement, and operational improvement. This is a highly visible individual-contributor position that will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, senior leadership, and stakeholders throughout the company.
The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between detailed analysis and broader business issues. Assignments may include reviewing and redlining a commercial agreement, evaluating the profitability of a customer or solution offering, coordinating a customer compliance response, validating an OEM rebate payment, developing management reporting, or supporting a cross-functional business initiative.
This position is intended for an experienced professional who can independently investigate a complicated business question, identify the relevant contractual, financial, operational, and compliance considerations, and develop a clear, practical recommendation.

- Develop KPIs and management reporting for departments, customers, programs, projects, services, manufacturers, and strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate customer, program, service, and solution profitability, as well as labor utilization, cost-to-serve, working-capital impacts, and performance trends.
- Review and redline customer, vendor, and partner agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, managed-services agreements, NDAs, BAAs, amendments, and related commercial documents.
- Identify material business, financial, operational, and compliance risks within proposed agreements.
- Work with internal stakeholders to determine whether proposed contractual obligations are operationally and financially supportable.
- Coordinate recurring customer, public-sector, manufacturer, and partner reporting requirements.
- Support responses to customer questionnaires involving information security, privacy, artificial intelligence, business continuity, ethics, corporate policies, and related compliance matters.
- Maintain organized records of approved policies, standard responses, supporting documents, contract positions, and prior submissions.
- Review contractual pricing, incentives, rebates, credits, and other financial commitments to verify that WEI receives the amounts to which it is entitled.
- Identify billing discrepancies, underpayments, financial leakage, process gaps, and control weaknesses.
- Examine cross-functional business processes and recommend improvements to efficiency, visibility, controls, accountability, and profitability.
- Lead or support high-priority initiatives sponsored by the Chief Operating Officer and other senior leaders.
- Translate complex findings into concise reports and practical recommendations.
- Help convert successful analyses and projects into sustainable reporting, controls, and operating processes.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or a related discipline.

- Strong business judgment and the ability to identify material risks and opportunities.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate across departments.
- High degree of discretion when handling confidential financial, contractual, customer, employee, and company information.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience conducting contract-compliance, recovery, vendor, operational, or financial audits.
- Experience reviewing technology, professional-services, managed-services, reseller, customer, or vendor agreements.
- Experience identifying financial recoveries, pricing discrepancies, overpayments, underpayments, or revenue leakage.
- Experience developing KPIs, profitability analyses, management reports, or analytical models.
- Familiarity with ERP, business-intelligence, dashboarding, or financial-reporting tools.
- Experience with risk assessments, internal controls, process mapping, compliance programs, or policy development.
- Experience coordinating customer security, privacy, business-continuity, or corporate-compliance reviews.

What Will Make You Successful
You are intellectually curious, analytical, and comfortable investigating unfamiliar areas. You can move from contract language to financial data to operational realities without losing sight of the business objective. You ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions constructively, and distinguish material concerns from lower-priority issues.
You are also practical and organized. You can manage recurring obligations while responding to emerging priorities, work across departments without relying on formal authority, and carry an assignment from initial analysis through recommendation and implementation.
This position does not initially have direct reports. Its seniority is reflected in the complexity of the work, the degree of independent judgment required, and the level of interaction with executive leadership.
