Description

The Store Specialist will performvariousstoreroom operations to ensure accuracy in inventorymovements, including receipts. They will coordinateswith theirdirectsupervisor to identify and disposeofobsoletematerials in accordancewithCompanyPolicy ensuring materials are maintained in properlocations and storeroom facilities are clean and wellmaintained.

Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • The Storeroom Supervisor has primary responsibility for the following duties, and the Stores Specialist follows the lead of the Storeroom Supervisor:

    • Ensures adequatesuppliesofmaterials are readily available to support factory operations.

    • Performsvariousstoreroom operations to ensureaccuracy in inventorymovements,including receipts, issues, and cycle counts.

    • Evaluatesinventory and consumptionlevelstoreduceoverstockmaterials.

    • Coordinates withdirectsupervisor to identify and disposeofobsoletematerials in accordancewith Company Policy.

  • Enters receipts,issues and returns into SAP in a timely and accuratemanner.

  • Enters SAPInventoryAdjustments as necessary.

  • Runs andreviewsReceiving Report daily for completeness and use in receiving of items.

  • Responsible for following and administeringstoreroomsecurity procedures andpolicies as directed.

  • Operates a forklift as needed.

  • Runs cycle count reportand counts storeroom items according tocyclecount schedule.

  • Assists in training newstoreroomemployees.

  • Runs StoreroomReorderreportandreviews for reorderwithinestablishedpurchasing guidelines and procedures.

  • Coordinates activitieswithdirectsupervisor.

  • Initiates maintenancework requests.

  • Tags inventory and stock shelves.

  • Performs storeroom sanitationandcleaningactivities.

  • Assists withreceiving process.

  • Kitting ofWorkOrders.

  • Processes inventory returns.

  • Coordinates outbound truck shipments.

  • Loadsandunloadstrucks.

  • Identifiesandlocatesstoreroom items in SAP MM System.

  • Participates in reviewofobsoleteinventoryandproperstocking levels.

  • Ensures inventory items are maintained in theappropriate mannerandanypreventativemaintenance is performed on storeroom equipment as required.

  • Performsotherduties as assigned and required to workovertime as necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diplomaor a GED certificate is required.

  • It is preferredthatemployee must have a twoyear associate’s degree in accounting,engineering, parts management, business management or related field. It is preferredthatemployeehaveequivalentwork history oftwoyearsexperience in partsmanagement,purchasing , inventorymanagement or accountingpositionswill be evaluated providedtheemployeecansuccessfullydemonstratecompetency at the end of the trialperiod.

  • Must be familiarwith personal computersandunderstandthefunctionality and operationof all facets oftheinventorymanagement,purchasing,information,processindustry,maintenanceandphysicalinventorymodulesof ACSC business system.

  • Musthavedemonstratedknowledgeofproperprocedures for shipping,receiving, and issuingmaterials.

  • KnowledgeofMicrosoft Windows, MicrosoftExcel and Wordsoftware is required.

  • Mustdemonstrateknowledge of ACSC cataloging and partsnumbering systems.

  • Must be able to identify and locatestoreroom items inSAP MM System.

  • Demonstratedworkingknowledgeofmaterials in inventory and used in thefactory.Must be ableto identify alternates to parts by maintenance.

  • Mustunderstandfactory chemical managementprogram.

  • Demonstratedeffectiveverbalandwrittencommunicationsskills,and must be able to interactwith a widerangeof ACSC employeesandsuppliers.

  • Must be able to becomecertified andsafely and effectively operate a forkliftand possess a validdriver’s license.

  • Must be able to reference,read and understand how to use MSDS information.

Compensation Range:

$25.57 - $25.57 /hr
