Storeroom Purchaser
Job Location: Ripon, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $22-$23/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7am-3:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Stockroom Purchaser in a manufacturing or wine production environment? Our client in the wine industry is seeking a detail oriented professional to provide temporary coverage. This role is ideal for someone with purchasing, inventory, and administrative experience who enjoys working in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and process purchase orders (POs) using the JDE system
- Communicate with internal departments and suppliers regarding purchase orders and order status
- Code invoices and process payments accurately and on time
- Process in-stock purchases and, after training, assist with non-stock invoices
- Request, collect, and organize Certificates of Conformity (COCs) from suppliers
- Scan, upload, and maintain closed purchase order records in JDE
- Update inventory nomenclature and item categorization as directed
- Monitor preventative maintenance work orders requiring kitted parts and notify the Storeroom Coordinator team
- Assist with special projects and additional purchasing or inventory related tasks as assigned
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well-established wine warehouse in Ripon, California.
Experience Required:
- Previous purchasing, inventory, storeroom, or warehouse administrative experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or wine industry environment preferred
- Experience with JDE (JD Edwards) or similar ERP systems is highly desirable
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
