Storeroom Material Handler – 2nd Shift

Position Title: Storeroom Material Handler – 2nd Shift
Location: HQ IWG Suite 902, Room 903, 1110 Montlimar Dr,Vance,AL35490
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM Shift: 2nd Shift
Weekend Availability: Occasional weekend work may be required
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr on W2 Paid Weekly!
Duration: 12month(s)/ Extension is possible based on perVanceormance, attendance, and business need)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Storeroom Material Handler to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and material distribution operations at Rockwell Automation's customer site in Vance, Alabama.

In this role, you will help ensure materials, parts, supplies, and equipment are accurately received, stored, tracked, and delivered to the appropriate production or manufacturing areas.

This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse, stocking, shipping/receiving, or material-handling experience. Entry-level candidates who are dependable, comfortable with physical work, and willing to learn are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Verify received items against purchase orders, invoices, and other documentation.
  • Identify and report damaged, incorrect, or unsatisfactory materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory.
  • Stock, organize, and distribute materials throughout the storeroom and manufacturing areas.
  • Prepare materials and merchandise for shipment.
  • Record shipment information, including weights and shipping-related details.
  • Pick and prepare materials for production or assembly.
  • Create kitting packages for assembly and manufacturing teams as needed.
  • Perform inventory and cycle counting activities.
  • Issue and distribute goods and materials to internal customers.
  • Provide material delivery services throughout the facility as needed.
  • Safely lift and move materials and equipment.
  • Operate a forklift when required and properly trained.
  • Use inventory systems such as SAP to track materials and transactions when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storeroom environment.
  • Follow all company safety, inventory, and material-handling procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends as business needs require.
  • Must be comfortable performing physical warehouse and material-handling duties.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and established processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Steel-toed shoes are required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. Rockwell Automation will not sponsor employment visas now or in the future for this position.

Previous experience is helpful but not required. Preferred experience includes:
