    Description

Store Manager - Chicago Flagship Showroom

Confidential European Kitchen & Bath Manufacturer

A confidential, highly regarded European kitchen and bath manufacturer is seeking a Store Manager for its Chicago location. This is a high-accountability leadership role overseeing a flagship showroom specializing in luxury kitchen and bathroom design, reporting directly to the CEO.

Chicago is one of the fastest-growing luxury residential markets in the country, attracting affluent buyers, top-tier architects, and nationally recognized interior designers who are drawn to the region's booming custom home and high-end renovation market. Leading a flagship showroom in this market means representing a world-class European brand at the point where design inspiration meets client decision - and having the leadership skills, commercial instincts, and operational discipline to turn that showroom into a thriving, revenue-generating business.

    The Role

The Store Manager will own full accountability for the showroom's annual sales and revenue targets, developing and executing strategies to grow the client pipeline and increase average project value. This individual will guide, mentor, and hold accountable the showroom team, aligning day-to-day work with revenue and client-experience goals, while building and maintaining relationships with key clients, architects, interior designers, and trade partners to drive repeat and referral business.

The role also includes oversight of showroom presentation and brand standards - ensuring the physical space reflects the quality, craftsmanship, and design excellence that define the brand. You will represent the company at industry events and VIP client functions, positioning the showroom as a destination for the Denver design community and a must-visit resource for anyone working on a premium kitchen or bath project in the region.

On the operational side, you will partner closely with the COO and CFO on planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, bringing a data-informed perspective to staffing decisions, inventory management, and showroom investments. This is not a role where you simply manage a team and wait for clients to walk in - it is a role where you are expected to drive the business forward with the same entrepreneurial energy and accountability you would bring to running your own company.

    What Makes This Role Unique

This position sits at the intersection of luxury retail leadership, design expertise, and B2B relationship management - a combination that is rare in the market and demands a rare kind of leader. You need the commercial acumen to hit aggressive sales targets, the design literacy to engage credibly with architects and designers working on complex custom projects, and the people leadership skills to build a high-performing showroom team that delivers an exceptional client experience every single day.

Representing a European manufacturer adds another dimension to the role. You will be the local ambassador for a brand with a distinct design philosophy, exacting quality standards, and a heritage of craftsmanship that commands premium pricing and earns fierce client loyalty. Understanding how to communicate that brand story - and how to leverage it as a competitive advantage in the Denver market - is essential to success in this position.

    The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of leading a showroom, retail location, or design studio in the luxury residential space - with demonstrated success in driving revenue, developing teams, and building lasting trade relationships. You have experience in the kitchen and bath, luxury furnishings, or high-end building products category, and you understand the unique dynamics of selling custom, high-value projects where the sales cycle is long, the details matter enormously, and client trust is everything.

You are a hands-on leader who sets the standard by example - the first one on the showroom floor, the person clients ask for by name, and the manager your team respects because you hold yourself to the same high bar you set for them.

Given the confidential nature of this search, all information shared with candidates will be handled with the utmost discretion. Compensation is negotiable and will be discussed based on experience.
