The Position: The Store Manager for our King Arthur Baking Store in Charlotte, NC is a dynamic leader, passionate about retail customer service and able to drive results. They are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the retail pop-up. The Store Manager blends business acumen and operational knowledge to drive retail results while building a high-performing team. They achieve sales and profitability goals while delivering exceptional customer experience. The Store Manager leads a team of employees, manages store operations, and develops strategies to improve overall business performance. The work schedule includes a mix of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the operational needs of the store.

The Schedule: This is a full-time regular status position with an end that coincides with the store closing, anticipated February 2028. Day, evening, holiday, and weekend shifts as agreed with flexibility as required.
The Location: Charlotte, NC; onsite daily.
The Pay: $50,900 to $69,300 annual salary; commensurate with experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience that reflects KABs mission to inspire and share the joy of baking by consistently delivering outstanding customer service, managing a highly motivated team, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive store environment.
- Develop and implement plans to drive topline sales and profitability; inspire team to achieve sales plans.
- Hire, train, and motivate the temporary retail team to deliver excellent customer service and meet performance expectations. Provide daily direction, performance feedback, and on-the-floor coaching.
- Oversee daily operations, including inventory receiving and restocking, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintenance of POS systems.
- Collaborate with the Director of Retail Expansion, Retail Supply Planner, and Merchandising & Visual Merchandising teams to ensure the store is fully stocked and aligned with KAB merchandising guidelines.
- Manage payroll and expense budgets while building and optimizing the retail team schedule to align with business needs and service standards
- Support delivery of training across product knowledge, baking knowledge, company values, sales, and customer service; hold self to high level of knowledge in these areas.
- Engage with the local community and promote the store through local outreach and events.
Education and Experience
- Progressive retail experience with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role
- Demonstrated success in driving sales, managing operations and developing high performing teams
- Proficient in POS systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
