Description

Bluebird Self Storage is continuing to grow in Southern New Hampshire! We are looking for a full-time Store Manager for our Greenland Facility. We are looking for a Team Member to be able to work 40 hours a week with the following schedule:


Monday - Friday: 9AM - 5PM

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a facility, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient management of storage units. The role includes maintaining facility standards and ensuring safety and security protocols are followed. With strong leadership and organizational skills, you will create a positive environment that fosters teamwork and enhances customer satisfaction, contributing to the overall success of the store.

Your role here at Bluebird would entail:

·         Meet or exceed operational goals and KPIs

·         Manage all recruiting needs for facility, train new hires, and conduct semi-annual and annual performance reviews

·         Monthly schedule creation and bi-weekly time sheet approvals

·         Develop and build a team atmosphere handling employee relations issues in conjunction with Human Resources

·         Determine tenant discounts, credits/refunds, and any exceptions

·         Process tenant billing on prescribed monthly schedule, following up on any delinquent accounts

·         Manage tenant escalations, grassroots marketing and events, posting auctions to the website and coverage of open shifts

·         Oversee Tenant Protection Plan enrollment, and Lien Letter administration

·         Work collaboratively with Facilities and external vendors as required

·         Open and/or close the facility based on shift assignment

·         Deliver superior customer service to both new and existing customers, via the phone, online, and in person, by assisting with determination of storage needs, providing tours, and renting storage units

·         Utilize effective selling techniques to identify customer needs, proactively offer solutions to appropriate storage units, and drive sales and upsell when appropriate

·         Collaborate with team members to meet store goals and ensure consistent customer experience

·         Sell related storage merchandise if applicable and relay facility amenities and any ongoing specials

·         Monitor surveillance cameras to ensure facility is safe and secure and conduct internal external facility walkthrough audits during each shift

·         Maintain and clean the facility as needed throughout each shift

·         Perform operational procedures through various software programs

·         Report any facility maintenance problems, and note inventory needs

·         Participate in all training initiatives

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

·         High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

·         Minimum 2-years management experience in retail and/or sales required

·         Self-storage industry experience preferred

·         Valid driver’s license

 

Other Qualifications

·         Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, and other federal, state local standards - including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards

·         Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, and other federal, state and local standards

·         Compliance with all personnel policies

 

Essential Skills

·         Proficient computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), and capacity to learn various proprietary software programs

·         Ability to lead others   

·         Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate with teammates, leadership and customers

·         Strong selling skills, with the ability to recommend services to meet customer needs and drive sales

 

Essential Mental Physical Requirements

·         Works in an office environment as well as occasional internal and external facility walkthroughs

·         Works independently with guidance from Regional Manager and VP of Operations as necessary

·         Performs a variety of tasks as dictated by facility demands

·         Relates information to diverse groups

·         Makes independent decisions and leads others

·         Ability to read and understand instructions and learn established organizational systems

·         Must be able to sit, bend, twist, lift (25 lbs.), and move throughout the facility

 

Location: Onsite with occasional travel
