    Description

    STORE GENERAL MANAGERThis role reports to the District/Operations Manager. The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the successful daily operation of the dispensary and developing a professional team that is passionate about the cannabis industry.The GM is also responsible for overseeing daily operations, store specific marketing & promotions and working with other administrative departments to maintain accurate compliance, procedures and reports as they pertain to the daily operations and financials of the dispensary.Roles and ResponsibilitiesStaff Management
    • Fulfill staffing needs and coordinate scheduling, following payroll budget guidelines.
    • Communicate with and coach staff regularly to ensure the dispensary's excellence in service and labor practices.
    • Conduct ongoing training and development with staff to ensure consistent performance and knowledge base of Company SOPs, policies, procedures, evolving product and consumption mechanisms & customer service skills.  
    • Manage employees’ performance through observation, providing constructive feedback, coaching and disciplinary conversations and offering positive reinforcement. Conduct periodic employee reviews.
    • Assist staff in challenging patient/customer interactions and/or conflict resolutions quickly, professionally and with least impact on operations. When possible, coach staff on deescalation techniques and customer services approaches.   When necessary, document incidents via internal procedures.
    Inventory Management
    • Oversee movement of product to ensure product mix meets customer needs and replenished appropriately and within budgetary constraints.
    • Maintain inventory control systems, oversee scheduled inventory audits in accordance with Company and State compliance guidelines to ensure there is no diversion of inventory and effectively respond to discrepancies.
    Administrative/Operations
    • Work closely with administration to ensure the dispensary is compliant with all Company & State guidelines.
    • Oversee operations and establish standards for set up, break down, cleaning schedules and other daily tasks
    • Read, analyze, and interpret documents relating to dispensary performance, general business operations, industry trends, basic safety, security and technical procedures and governmental regulations.
    • Confirm that the physical environment is safe, and that all equipment/software is in good working order and ensure that all preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner.
    • Prepare and effectively lead state inspectors through unannounced visits.
    • Set in-store sales, service, and profit goals and lead staff to exceed them.
    • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with Administration.

    • Work with Administration to create and follow in-store budgets and forecast sales.  
    • Utilize available marketing to help reach certain sales goals. Think “outside of the box” to reach store goals.
    • Complete special assignments and other tasks, as assigned.
    Work Experience
    • Previous experience in a cannabis retail/customer service role required, including cannabis product knowledge, cannabis POS experience, but particularly metrc experience needed.
    • Some supervisory or leadership experience is necessary.   
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and strong interpersonal skills. 
    • Strong cash handling skills and knowledge of basic arithmetic. 
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
    • Strong customer Service skills.
    • Basic Microsoft office experience including Word and Excel.
    What You Should Bring:
    • Current MED badge required
    • Valid ID, 21 and over only.
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Fun attitude and work ethic.
    • Strong attention to detail and a team-player attitude is a must.
    • Sense of responsibility to abide by all company policies and procedures as well as compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
    • An eye for style, maintaining a neat and well-groomed appearance, as well as good personal hygiene. Ensure that all clothing follows the company dress code.
    • The ability to creatively cultivate long-term customer relationships.
    Working Conditions
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs multiple times per day.
    • Schedule will vary depending on the needs of the business and can include nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
    • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes. Must be able to sit, stand, reach, and lift for long periods of time
