Position: Restaurant Management

Position Overview

As a member of the Zaxby's management team, you'll play a key role in leading daily restaurant operations, developing team members, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

We're seeking individuals who demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in food quality, customer service, and operational performance.

• Flexible availability is required, including nights and weekends.
• Previous restaurant experience is preferred.

Key Leadership & Management Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing restaurant team.
• Supervise and support all team members during assigned shifts, including cashiers and cooks.
• Coach, motivate, and evaluate employee performance to encourage accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling employees.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to deliver excellent guest service while effectively managing labor costs.
• Foster a positive, supportive work environment focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Restaurant Operations & Financial Management

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and profitability.
• Manage inventory levels and monitor food costs to minimize waste and control expenses.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational tasks and checklists are completed accurately and on time.
• Verify that cash drawers, safes, and credit card transactions are balanced and properly documented.
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, including counting tills, verifying transactions, and recording totals.
• Work toward meeting or exceeding established operating budgets and performance goals.
• Ensure all food products consistently meet Zaxby's quality, preparation, and safety standards.
• Maintain a culture of operational excellence throughout the restaurant.

Guest Service & Daily Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Deliver friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive service to every guest.
• Ensure guests are promptly greeted upon arrival and thanked as they leave.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, menu offerings, and restaurant specials.
• Assist guests by explaining menu items, answering questions, and recommending additional products.
• Represent the Zaxby's brand with professionalism, positivity, and enthusiasm.
• Ensure guest orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and with attention to quality.

Front-of-House Operations

• Accurately enter guest orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Process payments, operate cash registers, and maintain transaction records and receipts.
• Properly handle cash payments, verify register tills, and document totals.
• Ensure guest orders are accurately assembled, packaged, and presented.
• Support team members during busy periods to maintain efficient service.

Cleanliness, Safety & Organization

• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment.
• Oversee cleanliness of the dining room, service counters, restrooms, workstations, and building exterior.
• Ensure paper goods, condiments, serving supplies, and beverages are properly stocked.
• Monitor restaurant equipment and promptly communicate maintenance needs.
• Maintain organized work areas and ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Training & Development

• Successfully complete the Zaxby's Front of House Development Plan.
• Participate in hands-on station training and all required management development activities.
• Demonstrate proficiency in restaurant operations and lead by example.
• Support ongoing employee training and development to strengthen overall team performance.
