Responsibilities:
- Lead daily store operations across sales, service coordination, inventory, and customer support.
- Hire, coach, and develop employees; set clear expectations and provide regular feedback and training.
- Drive sales through product knowledge, merchandising, promotions, and recommendations that meet customer needs.
- Review sales, labor, warranty, and other store performance measures; take action to improve results.
- Resolve customer concerns and identify ways to improve customer experience.
- Partner with the Service Manager to coordinate customer orders, installations, and department priorities.
- Manage inventory through ordering, replenishment, cycle counts, and shrink prevention.
- Review service tickets, pricing, and final invoices for accuracy.
- Manage store expenses and review financial results to support profitability.
- Support local marketing efforts, including community outreach and store social media.
- Maintain a safe, organized store and ensure employees follow company procedures, including cash handling requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in automotive parts, aftermarket sales, or a related industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and motivating sales teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, including features, specifications, and compatibility
- Experience in inventory management, including ordering, replenishment, pricing accuracy, and merchandising
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze sales data, control costs, and drive profitability
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to effectively interact with customers, employees, and vendors
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring operational efficiency and high customer satisfaction
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems, parts databases, and retail management software
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and team-lift up to 100 lbs.
- Flexibility to work store hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
Work Environment
This is a customer-facing retail position that involves using phones, computers, and point-of-sale systems; moving throughout the showroom; and assisting customers. The Store Manager may also enter the service area, where there are vehicle lifts, moving vehicles, equipment, noise, and exhaust fumes. The role may involve standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
Compensation and Hiring Information
Additional compensation: Eligible for the Store Manager commission plan.
Pay within the posted range depends on job-related factors, including location, experience, and qualifications. Actual commission earnings vary based on performance.
