Bloom Montana is proud to offer a Store Director Trainee Program, a hands-on leadership development opportunity designed to prepare the next generation of Store Directors across our growing Montana dispensary network.
This six-month structured training program places high-potential leaders alongside an experienced Store Director to learn the operational, leadership, compliance, and financial disciplines required to successfully run a Bloom MT dispensary.
The goal of the program is simple: develop exceptional leaders who are fully prepared to step into a Store Director role when an opportunity becomes available anywhere within the Bloom Montana retail network.
This role is ideal for individuals who want to grow into a senior retail leadership position within the fast-growing cannabis industry and are willing to invest the time and effort required to master the responsibilities of running a high-performing dispensary.
Program Overview
As a Store Director Trainee, you will spend up to six months working directly under the mentorship of an experienced Store Director while learning every aspect of dispensary leadership.
During the program you will gain hands-on experience in:
Retail leadership and team development
Cannabis compliance and regulatory operations
Inventory and financial management
Customer experience leadership
Sales performance and store analytics
Operational execution and store accountability
Leadership Development Responsibilities
While in the trainee role, responsibilities will mirror those of a Store Director while allowing time for development and mentorship.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leadership & Team Development
Work directly with an experienced Store Director to learn the leadership expectations required to operate a Bloom MT dispensary
Assist in leading, mentoring, and developing store staff to build a high-performing retail team
Support scheduling and staffing plans to ensure appropriate coverage across all operating hours
Participate in employee coaching, feedback conversations, and performance management processes
Help facilitate ongoing training and development programs for store staff
Operations & Compliance
Learn and execute daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
Maintain accurate inventory records and support strict inventory control procedures
Assist in managing cash and credit card transactions while adhering to company cash management standards
Develop a working knowledge of Montana cannabis regulations and ensure operational compliance
Participate in operational audits and process reviews to maintain accuracy and consistency
Customer Experience Leadership
Support the creation of a welcoming, professional retail environment for customers and employees
Assist in resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service
Build product knowledge to help educate customers on cannabis products and responsible use
Sales & Store Performance
Assist in monitoring sales performance and store metrics
Participate in reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports
Work with store leadership to identify opportunities to improve store performance and customer engagement
