Store Clerk

Join the team at Hersheypark Camping Resort, campground located a few miles down the road from Hersheypark amusement park that features log and deluxe cabins, tent sites, and partial and full-hookup sites.

The store clerk is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and accurate service to all guests of the Hersheypark Camping Resort.

Job Duties

• Entering sales into the POS system*
• Selling cross-destination attraction tickets via the Galaxy system*
• Conducting business with guests with a smile, enthusiasm & professionalism*
• Stocking firewood bundles, kindling, and bags of ice
• Assisting in delivering merchandise across the Camping Resort property
• Handling all cash and credit card transactions
• Assisting the Manager/Supervisor with store opening and closing procedures
• Stocking shelves and assisting with rotating products to standard
• Assisting with cleaning, sweeping, and mopping of the Country Store
• Performing other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older Must possess a valid driver's license Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times Must be able to safely operate a golf cart Must be able to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Must be friendly, upbeat, work well with other employees, and be able to interact with our guests in a fast-paced environment Must have strong conflict-resolution/problem-solving skills Must be able to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information

Job Demands

Physical requirements include the ability to stand (for up to eight hours at a time), walk, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, and the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lift up to 35 pounds without assistance Must be able to work a flexible schedule, with shifts starting as early as 7AM and ending as late as 11PM, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
