The PantherDining Hall at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Store Clerk I.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, unloading, recording, and stocking items received. Performs clerical duties such as filing purchase orders and other inventory documents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Identifies inventoried items with appropriate labeling techniques, decals, or UPC bar codes.
  • Assists in setting up pre-inventory sheets.
  • Prepares requisitions or other documents for purchasing new stock items.
  • Follows FIFO inventory method and set guidelines established by the department.
  • Reconciles all discrepancies immediately with management team. Forwards all product paperwork to administrative team.
  • Pulls, stages, delivers, and completes transfer paperwork to various campus locations.
  • Assists with unloading of product at each location.
  • Responds quickly and accurately to all product inquiries by food service personnel.
  • Counts inventory in stock and posts to inventory record.
  • Checks inventory levels to ensure required product is in stock for both regular business and pandemic planning requirements.
  • Completes receiving report as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED. A valid Georgia driver''s license is required.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous Store Clerk experience.
  • Physical Requirements: Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
  • Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
