    Job Title: Storage Engineer

    Location(s): Salt Lake City, UT or New Jersey/New York


    Job Summary
    We are seeking a Storage Product Engineer with a strong product engineering background to support the evaluation, certification, and integration of enterprise storage platforms. This role is best suited for candidates who have experience in product engineering, product testing, or code certification rather than day-to-day operational support. The ideal candidate will work within enterprise storage environments, validate new storage technologies, and contribute to product lifecycle documentation and engineering best practices.

    Required Qualifications

    • Currently working within an enterprise-level storage environment.
    • Hands-on experience with Pure Storage FlashArray block storage products and/or Rubrik r6000 series data protection products.
    • Experience with Brocade G Series Fibre Channel fabric switches.
    • Experience creating and maintaining Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) documentation for product evaluation and certification.
    • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems.
    • Experience with I/O optimization, network stack tuning, and performance profiling.
    • Understanding of designing reliable services using resilient architectures built from unreliable components.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control systems such as GitLab or SVN.
    • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts including:
      • User journeys
      • Service Level Indicators (SLIs)
      • Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
      • Synthetic monitoring/probers
    • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to emerging technologies.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience engineering and supporting hybrid cloud storage environments with focus on data consistency between on-premises and cloud platforms.
    • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages:
      • PowerShell
      • Python
      • Bash
    • Experience following software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing best practices.
    • Familiarity with public cloud platforms:
      • AWS
      • Microsoft Azure
      • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    • Experience with VMware ESXi or other hypervisors.
    • Experience with additional enterprise storage technologies is beneficial:
      • Dell Storage
      • Hitachi Storage
      • NetApp
      • Dell Unity
    • Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as:
      • Dell Networker
      • Dell Data Domain
    • Familiarity with ElasticSearch and Kibana.

    Preferred Background

    Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are highly preferred:

    • Product Engineering
    • Product Testing
    • Product Certification
    • Code Certification
    • Storage Platform Validation

    Candidates whose experience is primarily operational support or production administration without product engineering exposure are less likely to be a fit.

    • Onsite position.
    • Must be able to work from the office five days per week.
