Position: Steward/Dishwasher/Utility Worker Location: Covenant House Texas - 1111 Lovett Blvd, Houston, TX 77006 Department: Food Services Shift: Morning/Afternoons Schedule: Varies Days Off: Varies Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Steward/Dishwasher/Utility Worker to join our team at Covenant House Texas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving youth and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment. Key Responsibilities • Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment. • Maintain cleanliness of dish room, floors, trash areas and storage spaces. • Assist with basic food prep under supervision. • Ensure proper sanitation and chemical usage. • Organize and store clean equipment in designated areas. • Support receiving and storage of deliveries. • Remove trash throughout the shift. • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures. • Communicate equipment or supply issues to the Chef/Manager. Qualifications • Prior stewarding or utility experience preferred but not required. • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods. • Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work as part of a team. • Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain Excellent Pay and Compensation Packages, Apply today. |
