Sterile Supply Technician - Certified | Sterile Processing | Full-time | Variable

Responsibilities: In this role the certified Sterile Processing technician will perform the following job duties under the direction of a unit charge nurse: Collect, clean, disinfect, inspect and sterilizes surgical instruments and other medical equipment. Preferred: Previous central service, surgery, or patient care work experience is desirable.

Responsibilities:

In this role the certified Sterile Processing technician will perform the following job duties under the direction of a unit charge nurse:

• Collect, clean, disinfect, inspect and sterilizes surgical instruments and other medical equipment.
• Maintain code carts, chest carts, urology carts.
• Clean hospital wide equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

Education

Required: High School Diploma/GED

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Required: Certification in either central service or surgery technology

Special Skills/Qualifications

Required: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Additional Training/Experience

Required: Completion of formal central service technician or surgery technologist program

Preferred: Previous central service, surgery, or patient care work experience is desirable
