Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to perform sterile processing duties and support hospital-wide equipment management.
Required Qualifications
Previous hospital sterile processing experience required.
Travel experience required; first-time travelers are not being considered.
Current BLS certification.
CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification required.
Strong knowledge of sterile processing and infection prevention standards.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments.
Operate and monitor sterilization and processing equipment.
Perform hospital equipment rounds, including cleaning and disinfecting pumps, channels, and other equipment.
Maintain equipment and supply par levels.
Follow infection control, safety, and hospital procedures.
Document sterilization and equipment activities.
Support OR and other departments with instruments and equipment.
Participate in weekend/holiday call and float as needed.
