We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Sterile Processing Technician to join our team and play a vital role in supporting safe, high-quality patient care.

    Schedule

    Full-Time | 80 Hours Per Pay Period

    • Primarily Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
    • Occasional coverage of the 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. shift as needed

    Position Summary

    The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the efficient decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. This role is essential to ensuring that all surgical and procedural areas have the sterile instruments and equipment needed to provide safe, effective patient care.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Clean, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and store surgical instruments and equipment according to established policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and sterilization standards.
    • Monitor and document sterilization processes accurately.
    • Maintain inventory and proper storage of sterile supplies.
    • Identify and report equipment issues or instrument repair needs.
    • Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to support procedural needs and maintain workflow efficiency.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of instrumentation, proper care, handling, and sterilization techniques.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Current BLS certification required within 60 days of employment.
    • Sterile Processing Certification required within two (2) years of hire.
    • Previous experience processing surgical instruments preferred.
    • Knowledge of sterilization methods, instrumentation, and proper handling techniques preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to patient safety.
