Sterile Processing Technician

Job Specific Information: Able to work independently in decontamination washing instruments and operating ultrasonic cleaner, Accurate Tray assembly, knowledge of how to properly wrap and seal trays, able to operate and test autoclaves. Acts as a role model and resource to peers and other members of the health care team related to processing of equipment, instruments, and supplies.

Duration: 14 Weeks Contract (Possibility of extension)
Schedule: Variable – Days (6:00AM-2:30PM | 8:00AM-4:30PM | 10:00AM-6:30PM)
 
**Non-Taxable Per Diem is provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility**

Job Description:

• Responsible for inspecting, disinfecting, assembling, processing and distributing patient care instruments, equipment and supplies in accordance with established policies, procedures and Association of Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards.
• Acts as a role model and resource to peers and other members of the health care team related to processing of equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Stores, rotates and ensures all instruments and supplies are correctly labeled.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required certifications

• BLS, CBSPD, CRCST
