As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you’ll ensure surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, inspected, assembled, sterilized, and ready for use by our clinical teams.

    Facility: Kernersville Medical Center | Location: Kernersville, NC | Position Type: Full-Time | Work Schedule: Mid Shift, 1:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

    What We're Looking For:
    • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
    • Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred.
    • Licensure/Certification: Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification, required. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT, required.
    • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology. Maintains Sterile Processing Technician certification.
    What You'll Do:
    • Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
    • Prepare and package instrument sets according to established procedures
    • Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness
    • Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization processes
    • Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection prevention and safety standards
    • Ensure instruments and equipment are available and ready to support patient care
