Job Summary and Qualifications As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Under the close supervision of Department Supervisor or Lead Technician, performs all tasks related to the set up, delivery, pickup, decontamination and maintenance of medical equipment, procedure trays and carts; sterilization of supplies and instruments; folding and assembling of linen packs and delivering of supply orders; maintenance of equipment record billing; setting up and removing traction equipment. Your responsibilities will include: Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries What qualifications you will need: Completion of a certificate program or HCA training program in Sterile Processing required within 1 year Ability to work as part of a team in an atmosphere that is variable paced low pressure. Ability to operate autonomously on a varying set of tasks. Requires mobility and ability to move, lift, push, and pull equipment & supplies. Basic knowledge of medical supplies, equipment, instruments, and sterile/aseptic technique preferred. Basic keyboard skills are preferable. Good interpersonal and problem solving and team building skills are required. Certifications (CRSCT or CSPDT) required within 1 year.
