    Shift Details: 7:00-15:30 Monday-Friday Holidays: Rotating Weekends: Rotating

    Job Summary:

    Under general supervision performs processing and set-up of surgical instrument trays, maintaining the correct sterilization parameters; builds surgical case carts using surgeon's preference lists; processes and distributes supplies and equipment required by Surgery, Nursing, Distribution for the treatment of patients. Maintains certification, and monitors, instructs and mentors non-certified staff. Other duties as assigned. (U)

    Other information:

    EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

    1 year of hospital experience in sterile processing is preferred.

    EDUCATION REQUIRED:

    High School diploma or equivalent is required.

    TRAINING REQUIRED:

    Specialized training (min. 6 mos.-2 yrs.)

    LICENSURE REQUIRED:

    Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the IAHCSMM or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) from the CBSPD is required.
