Sterile Processing Assistant -Transporter

Job Title: Transporter/SPT Assistant

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)

Description:
The Transporter will provide dedicated onsite transportation support for Sterile Processing during the SPD renovation. This limited-term, full-time, non-exempt role will move case carts, instruments, and vendor trays between the main hospital, mobile processing unit, Spanos Court SPD, and STCH to maintain instrument flow and surgical readiness. The role supports 24/7 departmental coverage while allowing SPD technicians to remain focused on decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and quality assurance. Responsibilities include timely movement of materials between processing locations, coordination with Sterile Processing and perioperative teams, and maintaining reliable transportation workflows as instrument volume shifts across sites.

Requirements:
Ability to work onsite across designated hospital and sterile processing locations.
Full-time, non-exempt availability; .
Ability to transport case carts, instruments, and vendor trays between processing locations.
Ability to support transportation between the main hospital, mobile unit, Spanos Court SPD, and STCH.
Ability to maintain timely and dependable instrument flow to support surgical readiness.
Ability to follow standardized workflows and coordinate with Sterile Processing, OR, and ancillary departments.
