Steel Project Manager - Fabrication to Erection

Hamilton, OH area structural steel fabricator is adding a Project Manager who can take jobs from signed contract to steel in the air. You'll keep the shop, the detailing team, and the steel erectors working off the same plan.

Your role:

• Lead fabricated steel jobs from award to closeout, owning scope, schedule, budget, and change orders
• Partner with detailers, engineers, and shop leadership so drawings, approvals, and fabrication stay on schedule
• Stay in step with steel erectors on erection sequence, deliveries, site logistics, and field problems
• Lead project meetings with general contractors, owners, and erectors, and handle RFIs and submittals
• Monitor cost, billing, and shop progress, raising risks before they grow

Requirements:

• 8+ years managing projects in structural steel fabrication or steel erection
• Track record of coordinating with steel erectors and field crews
• Comfortable reading structural and shop drawings
• Solid scheduling, cost-control, and communication skills
• Degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience, preferred
