Steel Project Manager - Fabrication & Erection

If you've spent 8+ years managing structural steel work, a fabricator serving the Kettering, OH area would like to talk. This Project Manager owns each job from contract award to erection and keeps the shop and the steel erectors working as one team.

Key responsibilities:

• Control scope, schedule, budget, and change orders on fabricated steel projects from award to closeout
• Keep billing, production, and costs on track, and flag risks early
• Coordinate the shop, engineers, and detailers on drawings, approvals, and fabrication
• Work hand in hand with steel erectors on sequencing, deliveries, site logistics, and field issues
• Lead project meetings with general contractors, owners, and erectors, and handle RFIs and submittals

Qualifications:

• Track record coordinating steel erectors and field crews
• 8+ years of project management experience in structural steel fabrication or steel erection
• Strong scheduling, cost-control, and communication skills
• Comfortable reading structural and shop drawings
• Engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, preferred
