Steel Project Manager & Estimator - Fabrication/Erection

A Kansas City fabricator and erector that focuses on structural and miscellaneous steel packages is hiring an Estimator / Project Manager. This opening suits an early- to mid-career professional who wants to sharpen estimating skills while running projects from award through erection.

Your day-to-day:

• Lead awarded jobs through fabrication and erection, managing schedule, budget, and change orders
• Complete takeoffs and estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel packages
• Handle RFIs and submittals and keep a close eye on project costs
• Build bids and proposals, including detailing, erection, and coatings quotes
• Coordinate between general contractors, detailers, the shop, and field crews

What we are looking for:

• 2-8 years of steel estimating, project management, or related construction experience
• Comfort reading structural and architectural drawings
• Working knowledge of structural and miscellaneous metals scopes
• A degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience, preferred
• Experience with estimating software is a plus

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000 per year, with a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates coming from competitors.
