We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Industrial Maintenance Technician to join a growing steel manufacturing operation in Youngstown, OH. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on maintenance experience to work on-site in a dynamic environment. The role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machinery critical to steel fabrication and processing.

Hours

3rd Shift, 12-hour shift from 00:00:00 to 12:00:01, on-site work required

Pay

$19.00 per hour (contract to hire)

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain industrial production or processing machinery and equipment
• Diagnose malfunctions by observing and testing equipment performance
• Repair or replace defective components and parts
• Disassemble engines and mechanical units for inspection and repair
• Clean and inspect mechanical parts such as pistons, valves, transmissions, and clutches
• Install new or reconditioned parts, including brake bands, clutch plates, sprockets, and pump components

Minimum Requirements

• Experience using hand tools and maintenance equipment
• Ability to read and follow oral and written work orders
• Experience using voltmeters and other testing devices
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to problem solve and resolve issues
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Ability to work any shift is preferred

Nice to Have Skills

• Manufacturing experience related to steel processing
• Knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment
• Supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance and safety protocols

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience in industrial maintenance or related field preferred

• This is an on-site position in Youngstown, OH
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work any shift, including 3rd shift
• Physical ability to disassemble and inspect mechanical equipment
