Steel Fabrication Estimator / Project Manager

An established Kansas City steel fabricator and erector specializing in structural and miscellaneous steel packages needs an Estimator / Project Manager. It's a strong opportunity for an early- to mid-career professional who wants hands-on growth in estimating and project management alike.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate with field crews, the shop, detailers, and general contractors
• Prepare bids and proposals, and solicit detailing, erection, and coatings quotes
• Perform takeoffs and estimates on structural and miscellaneous steel packages
• Handle submittals and RFIs and track project costs
• Manage awarded work through fabrication and erection, owning schedule, budget, and change orders

Qualifications:

• 2-8 years of experience in steel estimating, project management, or a related construction role
• Able to read structural and architectural drawings
• Estimating software experience a plus
• Familiarity with structural and miscellaneous metals scopes
• Construction management or engineering degree, or equivalent experience, preferred

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000, plus a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates joining from competitors.
