Steel Fabrication Bid Coordinator - Estimating

A structural steel fabrication company serving Baytown, Texas and the east Houston area is hiring a Bid Coordinator to keep its estimating team organized and on deadline. You'll manage the bid process from the first invitation to bid through a complete proposal submitted on time.

What You'll Do:

• Track invitations to bid, due dates, and pre-bid meetings, and keep the bid log and calendar up to date
• Download, organize, and send plans, specifications, and addenda to the estimators
• Request detailing, erection, galvanizing, and paint pricing from vendors and subcontractors, and follow up until every quote is in
• Put together complete bid packages and proposals, including forms, bonds, and qualifications, and submit them on time
• Work with estimators, project managers, and customers to resolve RFIs and clarifications
• Record bid results and keep the bid board and CRM accurate

What You Bring:

• 2+ years of construction experience in bid coordination, estimating support, or project administration; steel fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with bid platforms such as BuildingConnected or ConstructConnect
• Advanced Excel skills and careful document management
• Strong organization and the ability to juggle several deadlines at once

Pay: $65,000 to $90,000 annually.
