Steel Estimator & Project Manager - Structural/Misc Steel

A Kansas City steel fabricator and erector that specializes in structural and miscellaneous steel packages is adding an Estimator / Project Manager. If you're early- to mid-career and want to build your skills on both the estimating side and the project management side, this role gives you room to do both.

What you'll handle:

• Build bids and proposals, and gather quotes for detailing, erection, and coatings
• Run quantity takeoffs and estimates on structural and miscellaneous steel packages
• Work with general contractors, detailers, the shop, and field crews to keep jobs moving
• Take awarded projects through fabrication and erection, owning schedule, budget, and change orders
• Manage submittals and RFIs and keep tabs on project costs

What we're looking for:

• 2-8 years in steel estimating, project management, or a related construction role
• Comfort reading structural and architectural drawings
• Working knowledge of structural and miscellaneous metals scopes
• A construction management or engineering degree, or equivalent experience, is preferred
• Experience with estimating software is a plus

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000, plus a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates joining from competitors.
