Steel Estimator & Project Manager - Kansas City KS

A steel fabricator and erector serving Kansas City, Kansas, is hiring an Estimator / Project Manager to win and deliver structural and miscellaneous steel packages. This role suits an early- to mid-career professional who wants real ownership of jobs from the first takeoff to final erection.

Your day-to-day:

• Coordinate general contractors, detailers, the shop, and field crews so work moves smoothly
• Build takeoffs and estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel packages
• Manage RFIs and submittals and keep a close eye on project costs
• Prepare bids and proposals, gathering quotes for detailing, erection, and coatings
• Guide awarded projects through fabrication and erection, owning schedule, budget, and change orders

What we're looking for:

• Working knowledge of structural and miscellaneous metals scopes
• 2-8 years of steel estimating, project management, or related construction experience
• Engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, preferred
• Solid skills reading structural and architectural drawings
• Estimating software experience is a plus

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000 per year, plus a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates coming from competitors.
