Steel Estimator - Fabrication Bids

A structural steel fabricator in the Florence, KY area wants a Steel Estimator to own takeoffs and proposals for fabricated and erected steel packages.

Primary work:

• Work with project managers and steel erectors on constructability and sequencing
• Solicit and evaluate quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel from plans and specs
• Build complete estimates covering material, shop labor, and erection, and prepare proposals

Requirements:

• Experience with estimating software such as Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar
• 5+ years estimating structural steel
• Strong blueprint reading skills
