Steel Erection Sales Business Development Manager

An established AISC-certified Michigan steel erector is adding a Business Development Manager to pursue Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time role with $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and Midwest travel.

Day-to-day impact

• Hunt new steel erection work with owners, general contractors, and construction managers across the Midwest
• Coordinate pursuit strategy on major tonnage packages of 5,000+ tons
• Compile market intel on competitors, bid cycles, and upcoming awards
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in high-stakes client conversations
• Travel throughout the Midwest to support pursuits and relationship building

Candidate profile

• Prior BD or sales work in steel erection, structural steel fabrication/erection, or heavy construction
• Ease winning substantial Midwest projects by tonnage
• Preferred relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Willingness to travel across the Midwest
• Strong communication and a measurable closing track record
