Steel Detailer/Checker (Tekla) - Dickinson, TX

Bring your Tekla experience to a structural steel team near Dickinson. As Detailer/Checker, you'll produce and check accurate structural and miscellaneous steel shop and erection drawings for commercial and industrial projects, with your work heading directly to the shop floor.

The work

• Mentor junior detailers and maintain consistent drawing quality
• Ensure every drawing meets AISC standards and project specs
• Model and detail structural and miscellaneous steel in Tekla Structures
• Coordinate RFIs and revisions with project managers, engineers, and fabricators
• Check erection, shop, and assembly drawings for accuracy and constructability

About you

• Minimum 3 years of Tekla Structures detailing on structural steel
• Strong attention to detail and comfort juggling multiple projects
• Checking experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of AISC standards, connections, and fabrication practices

Compensation & benefits

• $100K–$130K based on experience
