Steel Bridge QC Manager | AWS D1.5 (Relocation to Columbia, MO)

Relocation required: this role is on-site in Columbia, Missouri. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Chicago quality managers with bridge fabrication backgrounds: a Columbia, MO steel fabricator needs a Quality Control Manager to lead weld inspection, NDT oversight, and AWS D1.5 compliance in its shop.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain inspection and test plans, quality documentation, and the NCR and corrective action process
• Hold all bridge steel work to AWS D1.5, AISC certification requirements, and owner specifications
• Act as the primary quality liaison for production leads, project managers, and third-party inspectors
• Direct the shop's weld inspection and NDT program from fit-up through final release of bridge members

Requirements:

• Must be willing to relocate to Columbia, MO
• UT Level II certification
• At least 8 years of quality control experience in a steel fabrication environment
• Hands-on quality background in AWS D1.5 bridge steel fabrication
• Active CWI certification
