Steam Control Systems Technician/ Engineer
The GBS Group has an exciting opportunity for an Steam Control Systems Technician/ Engineer to join our Philadelphia Office. The GBS Group designs and delivers high technology services and solutions to most advanced naval and maritime ships, as well as to special purpose platforms and assets. Our offices and labs are located in Philadelphia, at the Philadelphia Naval Business Center (PNBC). As a Steam Plant Technician with GBS, you will work both independently and with a team of designers and engineers on complex projects related to Naval ship platforms. The position will troubleshoot and assist ships forces in Steam plant upgrades and troubleshooting with regards to control systems and auxiliary systems. You will work to troubleshoot control systems for both the main propulsion boilers as well as auxiliary control system aboard various US Naval Vessels. Direct training of ships personnel and support staff and life cycle support functions will be accomplished. This position will also contribute real value by assisting in the development of future systems for HM&E Machinery Control Systems for U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Army and Military Sealift Ships supported by the U.S. Navy. Compensation is commensurate with experience and skill level.
