Stationary Maintenance Team Lead

Job Summary

This position will lead and develop a team responsible for maintaining crushing, screening, conveying, and aggregate processing equipment. This position will also play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations, and supporting production goals, equipment uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives, while working in alignment with Graniterock's Strategic Priorities and business objectives.

Job Accountabilities

• Comply, understand, and promote safety initiatives to ensure "Safety Before All Else."

• Lead, coach, and develop stationary maintenance team members.

• Coordinate and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

• Support plant reliability, equipment uptime, and operational performance.

• Plan and prioritize maintenance work orders, shutdowns, and repair projects.

• Collaborate with operations, contractors, and vendors to achieve production goals.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement long-term reliability improvements.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and utilize work order systems.

• Lead Safety Meetings and assist in safety improvement discussions as needed. Assist in ensuring compliance with MSHA and Cal-OSHA requirements.

• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, reliability, productivity, and cost control.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industrial, aggregate, mining, or heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, bearings, hydraulic systems, welding, and fabrication.
• Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, reliability practices, and root cause analysis.
• Experience working in aggregate, mining, or heavy industrial operations.

Additional Requirements

• Valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work day, swing, or graveyard shifts as needed.
• Ability to work in outdoor industrial environments and respond to emergency maintenance situations.
• Position is covered under the applicable collective bargaining agreement with Operating Engineers Local 3 or Machinists Local 93.
