    Job Description:
    Role Summary: This role focuses on data collection, entry, education, surveillance support and coordination with local health departments and other healthcare agencies. The role completes many of the day-to-day tasks required in order to ensure local health departments can actively manage cases of lead poisoned children throughout the state.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Support state case managers on non-confirmed cases. Track these cases in the state's case management system ensuring local health departments are opening, updating, and closing cases as appropriate
    • Audit non-confirmed cases and make suggestions to follow-up on, or close, cases as appropriate
    • Enter and monitor lead results that are reported to the State
    • Investigate reporting issues, invalid results, questionable entries into IDOH systems including CHIRP, LDF, NBS, etc.
    • Participate in quarterly testing report reviews with case managers to identify any trends or issues that they need to address
    • Monitor and address tasks related to case management queues (including document review, approval, and closure)
    • Track required fields for confirmed cases (i.e. case status, home visit, nutritional & developmental assessment, risk assessments) and coordinate with staff if missing or incomplete.
    • Assist, as needed, with providing backup support on required daily processes including system approvals, fax receipt and lead result entry.

    Required/ Desired Skills:
    • Working knowledge of laws, rules and regulations relating to lead (heavy metal) and healthy homes (specifically 410 IAC 29)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, webinar/conference call technology
    • Able to effectively communicate in an oral and written format to professionals and non-professionals
    • Bachelors Degree
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to track progress on cases in several dozen counties concurrently
