    Filger Manufacturing has delivered precision components to aerospace, medical, and space customers for 70+ years. We’re hiring a STAR Swiss Screw Machining Setup Technician to drive complex setups and production on Fanuc-based STAR equipment.

    Why you’ll thrive here

    • Own end-to-end execution: complex setup, first article, and full-run production
    • Work to exacting tolerances—often to +/- .0002
    • Make smart offsets and program changes to keep parts in control
    • Program select new parts (roughly 5–10 annually) in Mastercam or similar
    • Mentor operators and elevate process consistency across STAR machines

    What you’ll tackle

    • Set up and operate STAR Swiss CNC machines (Fanuc controls)
    • Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers
    • Inspect using micrometers, calipers, CMM equipment, gauges, and eye loupes
    • Troubleshoot machine, tooling, programming, and quality issues
    • Hit production goals while maintaining uncompromising quality
    • Maintain a clean, organized workstation

    Schedule

    Start at 6:00 a.m.; overtime available based on workload.

    What you bring

    • 5+ years of CNC setup/operation experience
    • Swiss-type experience with STAR, Citizen, Tsugami, or comparable platforms
    • Strong Fanuc controls background
    • Proven record producing tight-tolerance components
    • Aerospace, medical, or other regulated precision-manufacturing experience
    • Independent problem-solver across setup, tooling, offsets, programming, and quality
    • CNC programming capability; Mastercam preferred but not required
    • Expert blueprint reading and precision measurement
    • Ability to train and support other operators
    • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work safely in a machine shop
