Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled STAR Swiss CNC Lathe Programmer & Set Up Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in STAR Swiss CNC machining and programming, with the ability to operate STAR Swiss CNC lathes and other related machinery. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

Operate STAR Swiss CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand production requirements.

Program STAR Swiss CNC machines using Fanuc or similar systems, ensuring proper setup for each job.

Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.

Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain product standards.

Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Collaborate with team members on the assembly line for efficient production flow.

Handle materials safely and efficiently.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.

Skills

Proficient in STAR Swiss CNC programming and operation, particularly with CNC lathes and milling machines.

Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for precise manufacturing.

Ability to use hand tools effectively for machining tasks.

Basic math skills for calculations related to machining operations.

Previous factory experience is preferred, including materials handling and tooling knowledge.

Understanding of quality control processes within a manufacturing facility.

CAM experience not required but beneficial.
