Since 1986, our team has been a trusted name in the generator and electrical construction space—delivering commercial backup power solutions, expert generator installation, rewiring, panel and conduit work, repairs, and preventative maintenance agreements. We also mobilize temporary power on demand, from 1,400‑watt portable gasoline units all the way up to 2,500,000‑watt diesel systems—keeping critical operations online when it matters most.

A Day in the Field

You’ll operate independently within a one‑hour travel radius from our headquarters, managing your own schedule in a company‑provided automatic transmission vehicle. Your day could start with preventive maintenance on a 20–150 kW residential/light commercial genset, followed by troubleshooting on a larger 200–500 kW commercial unit, and wrap up validating controls and automatic transfer switches (ATS) at an industrial site.

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain standby and rental generator systems
  • Interpret wiring diagrams to isolate electrical faults
  • Perform engine diagnostics on natural gas and diesel platforms
  • Test and verify ATS operation and control interfaces
  • Document all work thoroughly; produce clear, professional service reports
  • Communicate findings and options to customers with clarity and care
  • Keep the service vehicle organized, clean, and well‑maintained

What You Bring

  • 2–3 years of hands‑on experience with standby and rental generator sets
  • Direct experience on natural gas and diesel engine systems
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and apply systematic troubleshooting
  • Primary background with 20–150 kW units; exposure to 200–500 kW and 1 MW+ systems is a strong plus
  • Proficiency with Cummins and Kohler generators (required); familiarity with MTU, CAT, Generac, or other major brands is beneficial
  • Fuel system knowledge: natural gas required; diesel and bi‑fuel a plus
  • Awareness of emissions systems; Tier 4 experience preferred
  • Root‑cause troubleshooting mindset and customer‑first communication
  • Clean driving record and ability to operate within a one‑hour travel radius

Preferred Certifications (Not Required)

  • OSHA Certification (safety standards)
  • EPA Certification (emissions compliance)
  • Manufacturer Certifications (Cummins, Kohler, etc.)
  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Immediate opportunity with hourly compensation up to $60/hr, depending on experience
