Standard Storage Engineer

Summary of Position:

We are looking for a Standard Storage Engineer with 2-5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage and infrastructure. The candidate should have strong expertise in SAN/NAS, VMware storage, and multi-vendor SAN migrations.

Major Responsibilities:

• Manage and troubleshoot enterprise SAN, NAS, and storage infrastructure.
• Handle storage provisioning, configuration, monitoring, capacity management, and troubleshooting.
• Work on block, file, and object storage, RAID, thin provisioning, snapshots, clones, replication, deduplication, and compression.
• Manage Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NVMe-oF, zoning, WWNs, Brocade/Cisco MDS, and MPIO.
• Support NFS and SMB environments.
• Perform OS-side storage administration on Linux, Windows Server, and VMware vSphere including datastores, VMFS/vVols, and host connectivity.
• Perform multi-vendor SAN migrations, including planning, zoning, storage/host mapping, cutover, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Support Backup, DR, Business Continuity, RPO/RTO requirements.
• Use basic PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs for automation.
• Coordinate with OEM/vendor teams for complex storage issues.

Required Skills :

• 2-5 years of enterprise storage/infrastructure experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, VMware, and storage troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with multi-vendor SAN migrations is mandatory.
• Good understanding of Linux, Windows Server, and VMware vSphere.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Preffered Skills :

• Experience with multiple storage vendors and large enterprise/data-center environments.
• Knowledge of SNIA SCSP/SCSE or CompTIA Server+ is an advantage.
• Additional certifications in Storage, VMware, Linux, or Networking will be preferred.

Certifications:

• A vendor-neutral storage/infrastructure certification such as SNIA SCSP, SNIA SCSE, or CompTIA Server+ is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in storage, VMware, Linux, networking, or data-center infrastructure will be considered an advantage.
