Picture Your Evening on the Warehouse Floor
As a Stand-Up Forklift Operator with Empire Workforce Solutions, you’ll keep freight moving safely and efficiently across our facilities in Lyndhurst, NJ and Lincoln, NJ. From the moment your 4:00 PM shift begins, you’ll inspect your equipment, navigate tight aisles with precision, and stage merchandise to keep trailers loading and unloading on time. If you pride yourself on accuracy, safety, and reliability, this second-shift role is built for you.
What You’ll Do
- Operate a stand-up forklift to transport pallets, boxes, and freight throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and warehouse trucks with speed and care.
- Stage product for both shipping and receiving to maintain steady workflow.
- Assist broadly with warehouse loading and unloading operations as needed.
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company guidelines at all times.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Perform hands-on, physical warehouse tasks throughout your shift.
- Work efficiently while never compromising safety or accuracy.
What You Bring
- Previous stand-up forklift experience preferred.
- Proven ability to safely operate a stand-up forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Capability to lift, move, and handle freight as the job requires.
- Ability to work a full Monday–Thursday schedule; Friday–Sunday schedules may also be assigned.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Commitment to following all safety rules and procedures.
Pay and Schedule
Pay: $17.50–$19.50 per hour
Shift: 4:00 PM–2:30 AM (Second Shift)
Days: Monday–Thursday or Friday–Sunday
Hours: 10-hour shifts; 30–40 hours per week
Overtime: Available when needed
Weekends: May be required based on warehouse needs
