The Stand Guide Builder is responsible for working with a team to provide excellent quality and service to the Rolling Mill through assembly and disassembly of rolling mill stands and guides per the rolling schedule. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the mill team where needed, willingness to train and perform other job positions in the Roll Shop, assisting other teammates with crane operation and rigging as needed. Additionally, the successful candidate will utilize computer resources to locate parts, manage work orders, and track completed work. The qualified candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
